Working set trimming can have severe performance consequences under Windows and the consumers of physical memory responsible are variable and often difficult to identify.

Memory mirroring splits the memory banks into a mirrored set. In an Active Directory domain environment, a domain policy refresh operation will overwrite the local Software Restriction Policies. Windows Installer uses Software Restriction Policies to verify the signatures of signed.

Windows Installer does this to make sure that the files were not tampered with before they are installed on the computer. Windows XP and Windows Server require the whole. The fix that is described in this article enables Software Restriction Policies to use less virtual memory to perform the signature verification.
